Programmes

Support That Stays.

Helping people build stability before crisis takes hold.

MentaSpring is in its founding phase. The programmes below are being shaped with residents and partners, and we will open each one as funding and venues are confirmed.

Care Navigation and Health Access

In development

Practical help navigating the system to work for you.

Who it's for
adults finding it hard to register with a GP, prepare for appointments, understand a care plan, or deal with housing, benefits and social care.
What it involves

one-to-one practical support with accessing services, preparing for appointments, understanding information and navigating housing, benefits and social care. We help people find their way through the system without providing clinical advice.

Post-Crisis Recovery

In development

Structured support for the weeks that matter most.

Who it's for
adults recently discharged from hospital or a crisis episode.
What it involves

weekly group sessions focused on rebuilding routine, understanding their recovery plan and knowing who to ask about their medication, recognising early warning signs and developing practical recovery strategies, with one-to-one check-ins alongside.

Peer Support Circles

In development

Connection with people who understand.

Who it's for
adults wanting regular contact with others who've been where they are.
What it involves

men's, women's and mixed groups, meeting in community and outdoor settings. We hope these circles will become, for many men, the first place they speak openly about mental health.

Format
planned as ongoing, community-based groups across Bexley and Greenwich.

Preventative Wellbeing and Resilience

In development

Practical support before difficulties become a crisis.

Who it's for
adults who sense things slipping and want tools before they need rescuing.
What it involves

practical resilience skills, stress management and relapse prevention.

Format
planned as an 8-week structured course.

Neurodiversity and ADHD Awareness

In development

Plain information and navigation, not diagnosis.

Who it's for
adults navigating ADHD or neurodiversity questions for themselves or their children.
What it involves

awareness sessions, plain-English information about assessment pathways, practical guidance and signposting to appropriate services. We do not diagnose or provide treatment.

Format
information sessions and one-to-one guidance.

Cultural Wellbeing

In development

Faith-aware, community-rooted conversation for African diaspora communities.

Who it's for
African diaspora adults across Bexley and South-East London.
What it involves

storytelling, honest discussion of stigma, and structured signposting into mainstream services.

We aim to work alongside UK-based Nigerian and wider African diaspora organisations as this strand develops.

Format
community-based sessions.
Coming next

In development: the MentaSpring Wellbeing App

A free digital companion to our in-person programmes, currently in early development and being shaped with relevant guidance and standards in mind.

The app is intended to complement our community support by helping people access wellbeing information, recovery resources and practical tools. We will share progress as development continues.

In development: Wider Community Reach

We are exploring how MentaSpring could extend its community support to minority and migrant communities across South-East London, building on what we are learning through Cultural Wellbeing.

This work is at an early planning stage, with no fixed delivery model yet. We will share developments as the work takes shape.

In development: Digital Inclusion Support

Practical digital support for everyday life.

Digital inclusion is part of MentaSpring's wider community work. We are exploring a future walk-in space where community members and carers could receive one-to-one help with everyday digital tasks, booking appointments, completing forms and understanding new technology.
